The 2024 total solar eclipse will be visible from many locations in the US, but the sky may be the best.
Southwest Airlines said that it will run three flights next year with the best chance of affording customers a perfect view of the eclipse (with solar eclipse glasses):
Southwest Flight #1252 leaves Dallas (Love Field) at 12:45 p.m. Pittsburgh CDT Southwest Flight #1721: Austin-Indianapolis at 12:50 p.m. CDT.
Southwest Flight #1910: St. Louis to Houston (Hobby) at 1:20 p.m. CDT. These flights may also experience totality during their scheduled times:
Southwest Flight #955 leaves Dallas (Love Field) for Chicago (Midway) at 12:50 p.m. CDT. Southwest flight #506 leaves Milwaukee for Dallas (Love Field) at 1:05 p.m. CDT.
