American comfort dishes like hot dogs and burgers have long included ketchup and pickles. Now Heinz is making Pickle Ketchup
Heinz says the new ketchup will taste like the original but have more pickle-like tang. This product,
which will hit stores in early 2024, was intended to satisfy customers' "hunger for unique, elevated, and nuanced flavor experiences."
Pickles are popular, and stores are selling pickle-flavored potato chips, mustard, seasoning blends, and even canned cocktails.
Heinz emphasized a "obsession with pickles," noting a Dataessential research indicating 73% of Americans "enjoy the taste of pickles."
"Increased desire for tasty, yet unexpected condiments has served as our innovation north star for the last several years," stated Kraft Heinz
innovation director Katie Peterson in a news release. "The current pickle craze in America mirrors the irrational love Heinz fans
Heinz's Pickle Ketchup is available at select UK supermarkets and will launch in other regions later this year and early next.
