Unfortunately for buyers, grocery prices have been rising and appear to be staying that way. The Consumer Price Index shows that grocery
prices are 7.9% higher year-over-year due to natural disasters, disease outbreaks like the avian flu, war, and high petroleum prices disrupting supply chains.
Lidl, a German grocery shop, will decrease prices on over 100 goods to tackle inflation. Hot Italian sausage and apple juice are among five
goods with a $1 or more discount, which is roughly 40% off. Lidl says the ad will run from June 8 to August 8.

Before Lidl's effort, German grocery retailer ALDI stated in April that it would help customers manage inflation. The corporation pledged to keep prices low
