McDonald's is already planning for St. Patrick's Day in the first week of February. The fast-food chain announced
yesterday that its widely popular Shamrock Shake and Oreo Shamrock McFlurry will return on Monday, Feb. 5.
In 1970, select locations introduced the Shamrock Shake, which combines vanilla soft serve with mint syrup and whipped cream.
Restaurants worldwide will offer the two mint-flavored desserts while supplies last. This year's release is two weeks early than last year's Feb. 20.
Many fans were excited when food Instagram account @snackolator publicized these menu items' comeback before McDonald's verified the release date.
"My favorite time of year," one Instagram user commented. This is my annual ritual. The best! can't believe it's early this year!" Added another.

McDonald's introduced the Chocolate Shamrock Shake in 2017 with a limited-edition straw that delivered "50% chocolate and 50% mint in each sip.
The chain released a Shamrock Chocolate Chip Frappé, Shamrock Mocha, and Shamrock Hot Chocolate along with this delectable shake.
There are more returning menu items than the Shamrock Shake and Oreo Shamrock McFlurry. McDonald's Double Big Mac returned Jan. 25.
